Bad day.

(I need somewhere to rant so don't bother reading this if you don't want to.)
You know where you get those days where everything seems to go wrong and you just want to curl up in a ball and hide away from the world? I've been having one of those days. Big time.
This holiday, I wasn't set much homework aside from reading, but what I did get was quite large and takes quite a bit of time up.
I was given a project to complete with a friend in Classics and we split the work up between the two of us as it was easier to complete most of the work individually but had planned to come together once we couldn't do any more without talking about it.
To start the day off, I ended up oversleeping again as I've not been sleeping very well the last few nights anyway so it's starting to catch up on me. This meant that I was already behind by a few hours and didn't get to work until about 11.30/12. I had almost finished my part of the document when I accidentally managed to reload the page (on a Mac, this can be done really easily by swiping left to right) when looking at a picture I was using. As it's an online document with no automatic saving features, I lost everything I'd done over the last four hours. I had one last page of my booklet to complete (I had done 10 others today) so I've been pretty upset for the last hour or so.
I know it doesn't seem like much and I can just re do it but it really annoys me how I got so close to finishing and I ruined it in a second. It also really upsets me because I feel like I've let my friend down as we were going to meet up today once it was all finished so I've ruined the chance of us being able to meet up and get the very last part done.
I really needed to do something to clear my mind a bit so I decided to write a little post on here as writing always makes me calmer and happier.

General crap

Ever since exams, I've been failing at blogging so much! I really need to get back into it again!
This last week has been pretty good! I saw The Great Gatsby last Thursday and even though I didn't like the book much, the film ended up being really good! It was really weird seeing Spiderman not swinging about the buildings of New York but working there instead!
I went to Exeter Uni open day on Tuesday which was really nice. I've fallen in love with it; it's the same feeling I got when looking around the college I'm at so I know it'll be good, plus the course is completely perfect and it all seems so friendly! The accommodation is lovely and the rooms are pretty big compared to what I thought they would be! Exeter itself is so pretty and green and very hilly which will keep me fit! The shops are pretty good and have everything I could want or need, including a Waterstones and Starbucks (I'm not going to get through my exams without it!) so I'm sorted! It also has the usual shops for clothes and food so I'll be fine! The brass band they had playing at the open day day also made it even more awesome because they played so many film theme tunes including How to Train your Dragon, Shrek and Pirates of the Caribbean! Definitely sealed Exeter as one of my favourite choices! I have a few more Unis to look at over the next two weeks so that will be fun! I can't wait to see what the others are like!
I went to Bristol museum yesterday too to learn about the Pharaohs of Egypt and it was amazing! I learnt so much and I also got to look around the museum, including the stores in the basement which were incredible! It's so amazing being able to see things that not everyone who visits the museum will see! It's a shame because it was all incredible and really interesting!
After the museum, I spotted a Forbidden Planet which is such a cool shop full of nerdy things - it was the best thing ever! It had loads of nerdy shirts from tv, films and games which was awesome, and there were figures and things like bags, key rings, mugs and loads of other awesome things! Shame I couldn't afford any of it though!
I'll hopefully do some more updates later on as more things happen so talk later!

Results day...

First of all, I'm sorry I haven't posted in almost a week...my life has become exceedingly boring and so full of work and revision that I don't even have time to do a quick blog post! Sadly, the work load isn't going to be letting up any time soon so the blog posts are going to be a bit less frequent.
I started to make my Roman style pot for extended project on Tuesday and I'm happy that it's going pretty well! I have to finish it tomorrow so that will be fun! It's actually going pretty well so I'm happy at the moment with it.
I also got my grade report back and I'm predicted all Bs and an A in extended project, so crossed fingers I get that!
I got my Biology exam result back from January....I got a D. I'm really disappointed to be honest, I thought I'd actually done well but because I wasn't used to the way the questions worked, even if I knew everything, I still didn't get the marks for what I knew and it's rubbish. I probably lost so many marks for not saying a specific word, or writing something a specific way. I really hate exams for that.
My parents have sorted me out going to a 6 day revision course over Easter to hopefully improve my grade. I really want to get a lot better so I hope it goes well. I'm just so scared that by taking that much time out of my holiday for a subject I'm not taking next year, will I be risking messing up my other subjects that actually matter? It's so horrible to think that I can't re sit so whatever I get in summer is what I'm stuck with.
I hate exams. I wish they would test your knowledge rather than your ability to answer questions how the mark scheme wants it. It's complete crap in my opinion.
