An interval.

Sorry I've been absent for the last week and a bit! As it's exam time and these are my final exams that will hopefully get me into University, I hope you guys will understand that I can't post nearly as much as I would like due to spending nearly every waking hour revising! I will post maybe once every week with quick little updates but I have loads of ideas for the end of June when my exams will be over and done with!
I hope you guys understand and will stick around for the next month and a bit, it'll go by in a flash!
You can always follow me via Instagram and Twitter (links in the side bar) where I can post slightly more regularly as I only need a minute or so to update them!

This week's favourites!

I thought that a nice thing to start doing would be a weekly update of things I've been loving over the last 7 days!

1. This video.

My Mum showed me this on Facebook and I thought it was so odd and hilarious - I laugh every time I see it!

I love doing these types of quizzes for fun because they're nearly always accurate but I love seeing the reasons behind it! I've always been more creative so I'm not surprised at all that I got this result - it's quite ironic that I'm left handed though!

3. Red Pandas
Surely they must be the cutest, funniest and silliest animals in existence?! Every time I'm not feeling happy, I'll watch this video and it makes me feel 100 times better because it's so damn cute!

There are so many inspirational quotes on this website, I love to just go through them and read them sometimes, some are pretty great!

This link is great and I love these tips, it made me laugh rather a lot!

Extra non-internet favourites of the week
- Hot Chocolate
- Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107; I love a good red lipstick and this one is particularly festive!
- My black beanie hat from New Look; I've worn it three days this week!
- This month's issue of Elle magazine; there's great pieces about shopping the sales and how to style a navy blazer, one of my favourite pieces to wear!
- The Gift by Cecelia Ahern; I started it a couple of days ago and I'm hooked! I love everything she does and can't wait to get my hands on her new book, How to Fall In Love.

Hope you guys enjoyed this, should I do one of these every week?
Send me links to things to add into next weeks one if you want - either in the comments or via my twitter, @theadorabled0rk!

Lazy Day

I found out today is that you can now pin some things straight from another website if you want to! It's actually the most handy little thing EVER. I didn't know you could do this until yesterday because I basically spend my life on my phone and don't use a proper computer very often. It's actually such an awesome feature and it increases my love for Pinterest just a little bit more.
I've been needing a lazy day pretty much since I started revision. Lazy days are the best because it means you can do what you like and just relax. My stress levels have been way over normal or healthy lately so I'm quite glad that I finally get to have a (in my opinion!) well-deserved break. I've spent the day in bed with the laptop browsing Tumblr, Twitter and many other amazing websites. I've read a bit, tidied my room a bit (well overdue), showered and I only really got up (if you can call it that) at 12! It's been so nice to just have a me day. It's also been nice to not have to concentrate on anything in particular and just getting to do what I like, when I like. I've changed my mind about what I want to write for this blog post about 3 times today. I've written half a post, run out of steam and just started again which is actually really nice because I don't have anyone telling me what to write or that I need to write about one thing or another. I can write about what I like and if I change my mind then it doesn't matter! When I tell some people that I write a blog as a break from essay writing and college, they don't understand because surely writing a blog post is just even more writing, right? I find that just writing whatever is in my mind at the time is actually such a relief from writing essays that have structure and go towards a grade. Essays have specific subjects and a question to answer while the only thing a blog post has to do is fit with the title. Even then that's not really a given!
I've run out to say for this post so I'll post again soon!

Good As It Gets

MY JOHNNY GET THE GUN CD CAME TODAY! I'M BEYOND HAPPY!
I won a competition during summer and they said they would send me a hard copy of their album and a few other little bits and pieces. The first package never made it to my house so they sent another one. (They're so lovely! Thank you so so much Jack! :D)
It arrived today after waiting patiently for it to arrive for weeks/months (I've forgotten how long it's been :P) and I must say, I squealed, ripped open the package then hugged it while jumping up and down when I saw what it was!
Everyone else was hearing the album from the free download on the internet but I resisted and waited until I had the actual physical copy in my hands!
I'm so happy that I did because it was worth the wait!

The Front: It's signed! :D Also my sicker and 2 picks

The Back: Track names!! :D

There are some songs on the album that have been around for a while now (Good As It Gets and Take It) and they're still as amazing as ever! :D still 2 of my favourites of their songs.
I first heard My Mistake maybe a month ago when Johnny Get the Gun posted the music video on youtube and I instantly fell in love with it, it's so catchy! Great tune to dance to :P you can see the music video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiiYysiktdA
Crash & Burn is great :D It's a bit different from their usual stuff but it works just as well, I love it, it's been stuck in my head since I first listened to it!
The longest track on the album, A Long Night (good title for a long song! ;D) is a bit slower which is also a change from JGTG's usual style, but again, it works for them and again, this song is just amazing and it has a really catchy chorus! :)
Out of Control is a more pop style song that is a really catchy dance tune again! It just works for them, they have great lyrics, a great singer and an awesome tune that you'll be humming for weeks!
JGTG posted an acoustic version of Forever Quiet over a year ago, before I saw them and it easily became my favourite song of theirs. They played it when I saw them live last October and it's even better in person! Its so so so great. If you only listen to one song on this album, make it this one.
Why Watch So Many People Fall has yet another different sound, completely different to the other songs! It's rather good! It's not so much of a 'get up and dance' tune but its still great :D
If You Could Only See Us Now is another slow song and it's so pretty, it's got really nice lyrics and it's one of those songs I can imagine being played at a gig with everyone waving their arms in the air, I really like it and it's a good end to a great album!
The songs are so varied but all so good in their own ways, it's amazing!
This is JGTG's first full album and I have to say, nice job guys! (Of course I'm a little biased but it's still great, most of my friends will agree with me!) Wayne, Jack, Joey and Jamie are all lovely guys and deserve to get somewhere because their music is just as good as anything that's currently popular in the music industry (well, the decent, Rock stuff anyway! ;D)
I definitely think that it's worth a look at, especially as its free! What more could you want?! They're that awesome that they're giving away their first album free!!!! :D and if you like that, you can do them a favour and buy their 2 previous EPs for about £3 each! :)
I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do, I can safely say that this will be on repeat for quite a while from now! DFTBA guys! :D x
