Family outings!

I said a couple of weeks ago about going to London with my family but having to come back home due to my brother being ill. We returned on Saturday and it was so amazing!
We went to Covent Garden for the day and the Christmas decorations were up! Covent Garden is my favourite part of London anyway but it looked so pretty. There was a huge tree in the centre with lights and baubles and in the market, there were huge baubles hanging from the ceiling! It's got me in the mood for Christmas now so beware, festive things are definitely coming your way on this blog soon!

It was so tall! The lights were flashing and it looked so pretty.

Giant baubles are awesome!
We first went to Zara where I tried on (and eventually bought) a really gorgeous sheer black long sleeved top with buttons down the back and a white peter pan collar! It's really gorgeous and I know I'll get a lot of wear out of it, I'm a sucker for collars like that! I also tried on the dress from my On top of the world Polyvore but it was too small and didn't have the next size up so I had to sadly leave that behind.
We had a look in Kate Spade and the range there at the moment is sadly not to my taste but I found a piece that I've had my eye on for ages but more of that when Christmas comes around as everything bought was taken by my parents and hidden to be given back at Christmas!
We went to an amazing steakhouse called Hawksmoor just opposite Kate Spade and it was so so amazing. We went there the last time too and I love it so much, I've never had better steak! If you're in London, I highly recommend you check them out, you won't regret it!
I also finally got to go to Laduree and I can tell you now that it's hyped for a very good reason. I got 6 macarons (or macaroons…however you spell it), 4 in the whackiest and loveliest sounding flavours and 2 safer, normal flavours. I've eaten them all now and the slightly odd flavours tasted the best; Rose, Gingerbread, Strawberry Candy Marshmallow and Orange Blossom. The Lemon and Raspberry flavours weren't as nice which is strange! I'll definitely be buying more though next time I'm in London. I love the little box they come it too, I'm definitely keeping that!

It's a bit blurry but I love the packaging so much!

How pretty are these? Almost too good to eat! Almost...

Left to right: Strawberry Candy Marshmallow, Orange Blossom, Rose, Gingerbread, Raspberry and Lemon

Once we got back, I went round an old friend's house to watch the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who. It was incredible and she had even baked chocolate chip cupcakes and decorated them with blue icing, blue glitter and a mini edible TARDIS!! I really enjoyed the episode but I think there were a few things they could have improved on - I can't wait for the Christmas episode though, I'll just be sad when Matt Smith leaves, I think he's great in the role and I'm still not sure how I feel about Peter Capaldi…we shall have to see.

I think she should make cakes and sell them, they're so yummy!
This week is going to be really hectic with coursework and homework so I will have to see when I get time again to actually write another post - bye for now though!

Essay motivation trip!

I actually love going to places by myself. You can go where you want, spend as long or as little time as you want in each place and go home when you feel like it.
Yesterday I went to Guildford for a mini shopping trip to get some sweets for motivation to write my English essay that I planned yesterday morning and Friday. Even though it's fun, I really shouldn't be allowed in the American sweet shop by myself.

Best sweets ever!
As it's nearing Halloween, I couldn't resist having a look at what goodies they had, and I wasn't disappointed. They had Candy Corn (one of my all time favourites) and some things called Mellocremes which are made by the same company and taste quite similar but are different Halloween shapes like pumpkins and cats! No one else in my family likes them which means they're all for me!
I also had to get some of my usuals and I've found out that Jolly Rancher do a Passion mix with all flavours I like which makes me happy. There's even a Peach flavour which is the best thing ever! Berries Sour Patch Kids are also amazing - the flavours are the best; I'm a berry and citrus girl so these packets are the best things! I also really don't like Watermelon so I successfully avoided it in both packets!
These should last me a good long while as I don't want to open them all at once or waste them by eating tonnes at a time!
If you've never tried these, find somewhere that does them and BUY THEM. I know I have an unhealthy addiction, especially for a Diabetic, but I love them so so much.

My current food favourites.

I always seem to find new food and drinks that are completely amazing but I've never seen before!

1. Fox's Caramel Caffe Thins

My grandma sent them over and they taste amazing. They have a really nice texture and have a really strong caramel taste which I was really happy about because caramel flavoured things usually aren't very strong. They're apparently made to dip in coffee so I might need to try that sometime!

2. Nutri-grain soft & fruity - Strawberry

I got one of these off my brother before he eats them all on his sponsored run tomorrow and they're so yummy! They're healthy too which is always a positive!

3. Ribena Pineapple & Passion fruit

I had this a couple of days ago and I fell in love. I love tropical flavours and this is probably my favourite tropical drink to date.

4. Waitrose seriously fruity Sicilian Lemon sorbet

This makes me miss being in Sicily where you could get proper Sicilian sorbet on every street corner. This is a really good replacement though. I ate half of the entire pot because it's so addictive!

5. Cupcakes

I've had a thing for cupcakes for a while, I find them so pretty! This was one of, possibly the best cupcake I've had. We're getting a new car tomorrow and when we were at the dealership last weekend, they let us choose a cake so I got this strawberry flavoured one. It has edible flowers and glitter and tasted just as good as it looks. The cake was also really soft and wasn't dry at all which some cupcakes are so this made me really happy!

Obviously there are more, but these are my most recent finds and food loves!

Raspberry fields!

Me, my brother and my Mum went Strawberry picking today! We intended to anyway. When we got to the field, most of the strawberries had gone so we went searching to see if there were any more somewhere else and we stumbled across rows and rows of raspberries instead!
It was warm but cloudy for the most part which was so nice because it meant I could enjoy myself without feeling like I was going to melt into a puddle! Trying to avoid bees and spiders was also fun...especially for everyone else - they got to laugh at me when I felt something on my leg/arm/wherever else and slapped it while shouting/screaming...gotta love hating bugs, right?
We ended up picking about half a basket of raspberries then we also bought some already picked strawberries at the counter so the trip wasn't a waste (in strawberry terms anyway...)! I think mum is going to turn them into Strawberry ice cream which is awesome! Don't know what will happen with the raspberries though...all I know is that they taste really good!

So many raspberries!

Lots and lots of raspberries, yum!

We found a row with loads just the first bit!!!
Fruit picking is so much fun to do with the family in summer, and it's better for the local people! Try it out, you'll enjoy yourself!
