Essie - Chinchilly review

I'd like to introduce you to one of my new favourite nail polishes - Chinchilly by Essie.

I bought this in Guildford when I went with Kate last week and I've been wanting to try it ever since!
Essie nail polishes are hands down my favourite brand and this is such a gorgeous colour by them! It's a grey/taupe but looks purple in some lights which is really pretty! It's gorgeous and classy and seems to go with everything!
For application, I applied Essie's 'All in one' base and top coat before applying two coats of Chinchilly, then another coat of 'All in one'.

I applied this on Monday night and there are still no chips at all! I'm honestly so impressed as my nail polish always chips within a day or two, it never looks this perfect after so long!

MAC Christmas.

For Christmas, I was bought two MAC lipsticks! I was so excited to open them and I can see easily why people collect them and prefer them over other lipsticks!

I chose this frost lipstick in Viva Glam IV when me and mum went to Reading a while ago. I love this colour - it's a light berry and I love it so much! I think it's perfect for Autumn/Winter!

A surprise lipstick was this Amplified Dark Deed lipstick which was included in a gorgeous bag with a lipglass and lip pencil! I've wanted a dark lipstick for quite a while so this one is perfect! The lip pencil matches it perfectly and even though my application in the picture is horrendous, it stops the colour bleeding which is great! It doesn't last for ages but I wouldn't expect it to as it's so dark!

Both lipsticks go on really well and are creamy and soft, I really like the texture and feel of them when they're on!
I'm going to save up and definitely buy some more as the MAC colours are so pretty!
What are your favourite MAC lipsticks?

The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipsticks in Damson in Distress 240 review

I passed my driving theory test yesterday so to celebrate, I met up with a friend in Reading! To treat and congratulate myself, I bought a colour crush lipstick from The Body Shop as I'd heard a lot of good things about them on various websites and in magazines.
The colour I chose was Damson in Distress which is a gorgeous purple/berry colour. I've never bought a purple lipstick before but this one suits me really well I think so I'm really happy that I chose it! I've been looking for a darker lipstick that isn't red for a while and this one fits the bill perfectly!

The packaging is really simple but pretty and the lids co-ordinate with the colour group they belong to (pinks, reds or browns) which I think it quite a cool way of separating and identifying colours!

The colour is actually darker than this and more purple but my bathroom lights are really bright and always seem to take away some of the colour of my swatches which is annoying! The lipstick is really soft and moisturising and lasts for ages, over 3 hours when I tested it! I love the colour and despite it being quite bright and different, it seems to go with everything which could make it a daring every day colour! I can't wait to wear it out properly (not just testing it) and see how it really does though, so far I'm loving it and it will become one of my favourites I think!

The name isn't actually on the lipstick, only on the website, but the number is displayed by the lips at the top!
This was £10 and can also be found on The Body Shop website. The swatches they show there are actually quite accurate compared to most websites (looking at you, Boots...) so it's quite easy to choose colours, but just for safety's sake, it's still worth checking them out in store to make sure the colour suits you as £10 is quite a lot for just a lipstick.
I also love these as they're cruelty free, and with such great quality, I will most likely be buying another of these eventually - there are 23 more colours to choose from!

Things I've had my eye on recently!

I haven't had the money to buy anything recently but I've been keeping my eye on a few things that I really like!

Make Up

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107.
I love this lipstick, it's such an Autumn/Winter colour! I've heard really good things about this lipstick and when I found it in Boots, I tested the colour and it was a really deep pink-purple which looks amazing. It's £5.49 from Boots (link below).
Picture from here.
L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint.
I don't wear foundation much but I tested it at it's such a perfect match to my skin, I was so impressed! I have some nasty dry patches around my nose so I hope that this foundation doesn't stick to them like my current one!
I hope I can get this eventually!
Clothes

H! by Henry Holland Navy Belted Panda Dress.
I've had my eye on this dress pretty much since the current line was released. I need to save up so I can buy it because this dress is so me - animal print (actual animals, not things like leopard print!), navy and a skater style skirt! The long sleeves would also be great for winter as they add a little bit of warmth!
I love this dress so much.
H! by Henry Holland Navy Fox Knit Tunic Dress
Henry Holland is my favourite designer that is featured in Debenhams and I own a dress and a pair of shoes that are both gorgeous - this dress is amazing, who doesn't love a Fox?! I've seen this in the shops and it's such a soft material, I love it!
Who doesn't love a fox jumper?!
Books

Audrey the 60s
I found this book in the bookshop by college a few weeks ago and in my frees I sometimes go back to have a quick flick through it. It's a gorgeous big hardback with gorgeous pictures, some never seen before. I think this is a really great coffee table book and I really hope that I'll be able to own it one day!
I really want this book!
This is all I can think of at the moment and hopefully I can at least buy some of these over the next few months!
