This week's favourites!

My presence on the internet has increased to normal levels again this week so I actually have enough things for a favourites post!

1. Lauren Aquilina - Lovers or Liars

I love Lauren so much - she's released two EPs off her own back, has another available for pre-order and is only a year older than me! This is her new video for one of the songs off her new EP (already ordered...it was only £1.99!) and I love it, I can't wait to see what the other new songs are going to be like!

Most of you guys will know that I have an unhealthy obsession with Kate Spade by now. They can be quite hit and miss, but when I find something I love, it's perfect. This season is really pretty and it inspired by Brighton and Paris!
My favourite pieces:
Je ne sais quoi shirt

Ooh la la Francis

Dorothy coat (it also comes in white!)

Some of these are American so they don't apply, but the ones that do are so funny and accurate!

4. Howl's Moving Castle

I found a post on Tumblr with links to lots of Studio Ghibli films and I watched Howl's Moving Castle over this week - WOW. This might possibly be one of my favourite films. It's adorable, funny and it's just great. I've watched it with English subtitles and being dubbed over by English/Americans (Josh Hutcherson and Christian Bale...definitely worth a watch/listen!) and I loved both - be warned though, you get to hear important background info that doesn't come up on the screen in the subbed version but the subbed is obviously more authentic - you just have to watch and read at the same time!

I'm happy with the variation in this post, hope you guys enjoyed it too!

Whistle while you work...

So, work has taken over my life, I don't have time to do anything but work and I'm still not getting time to revise!! What's that even about?! It doesn't make sense to me!
Luckily, I've been working from my bed so I can get home, slip in to my pjs and sit on my bed doing work until stupidly late hours for a school night. I'm super happy that I have a YouTube playlist of calm songs that I just have on in the background as I do my classics notes so it isn't as bad as it could be!

Song list
40 Mark Strasse - The Shins
Just Be - Paloma Faith
O Children - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (The song used in Harry Potter - DH 1!!)
Down the Drain - Orla Gartland
Moving to New York - The Wombats
World Without You - Hudson Taylor
Fools - Lauren Aquilina
Bones - Lewis Watson
Pompeii (acoustic version) - Bastille
King - Lauren Aquilina
Rings Round Roses - Gabrielle Aplin

So there you have it! Some of my favourite songs at the moment and all good to just do work to as none of them are really get up and dance!
I'll post on later in the week, some things are actually happening at the end of the week so I will finally have some bloggable material! Yay!

Shake things up a bit!

Last night I changed the background for this slightly! Instead of the birds and trees, it's now a bit darker with leaves! I find it strange because I'm so used to the other one, but I like it and I'll get used to it after a while!

Dan and Phil's radio show today was just fantastic, probably the best it's ever been! I haven't laughed that much or that hard for a long time...I can always count on Phil and Dan to make me smile. :)

I've been doing a lot of Classics homework today in prep for an essay next week...yay. Because of this, I've been on YouTube, and I started listening to King by Lauren Aquilina (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q_6Rw1R7kg&list=FLzppRwVNOGY1R4GjxH1awVg). Through this, I found Fools. Honestly, Lauren Aquilina is fantastic, these two songs have become some of my favourites that I can just listen to no matter what. If you haven't heard her, listen. She's amazing!
